Magnetic filter for paper pulp Removing steel wires from paper pulp by using a magnet
Magnetic filter for paper pulp
Removing steel wires from paper pulp by using a magnet A large paper mill in the Netherlands was looking for a solution for removing steel wires from the paper pulp. These steel wires end up in the pulp as a result of incomplete removal of the binding wires that hold the bales of cellulose together. This is done before the cellulose is processed into pulp. Production downtime As a result of the automated process in combination with the human control there is a chance of steel wire ending up in the paper pulp. This wire is particularly damaging for the equipment used to process the pulp. The result is production downtime, but this can be prevented through the use of a magnet. Magnetic filter Goudsmit has designed large magnetic filters for such processes, with bore sizes ranging from DN100 to DN400. The inside of the product chute is completely surrounded with very strong magnetic bars with a high flux density, making it possible to capture the steel wires even at a relatively high flow rate. Operators In addition, the

Lödige ploughshare® mixers with ATEX certifiation Lödige produces mixers for all possible mixing tasks
Lödige ploughshare® mixers with ATEX certifiation
Lödige produces mixers for all possible mixing tasks The German machine builder Lödige has been building horizontal ploughshare® mixers for batch or continuous processes for many years. These mixers are built according to the needs of the customer and are therefore always unique. The Lödige ploughshare® mixers can be used in very clean environments or for heavy industrial applications. They can be adapted for processes under high pressure or under vacuum. For all these applications, Lödige can build a mixers with an ATEX certification so that - in accordance with European legislation - these machines can be used in an environment with a gas and / or dust explosion hazard. Once the customer (end-user of the machine) has determined in which ATEX zone the ploughshare®mixer will be used, and what ATEX-zone is needed inside the mixer, the Lödige engineers will design and build an ATEX-compliant mixer. Lödige builds batch mixers from 5 to 30,000 liters, and recently even supplied a continuous mixer with a drum of 57,000 liters

Roller gates and seal tite diverters handling coffee beans Handling Coffee Beans, Green and Roasted
Roller gates and seal tite diverters handling coffee beans
Handling Coffee Beans, Green and Roasted Handling: Coffee Beans, Green and Roasted Location: Coffee Supplier & Distributor Application: Roller Gates and Three-Way Seal Tite Diverters were implemented in a conveying system to support the movement of green and roasted coffee beans. Features: The customer is currently only using the middle outlet of the Seal Tite Diverters. The two outside legs are blanked off for future expansion if necessary. The Roller Gates feature Infinite Variable Positioners (IVPs) to allow material flow control capabilities on both the opening and closing strokes. IVPs are highly accurate. When automated, the IVP can actuate in increments of +/- 2%. When manually controlled, the IVP can actuate in increments of +/- 4%. Both products are serviceable while in-line allowing for ease of maintenance and minimal downtime.

Bühler Group already a satisfied user of Celsimix
for a quarter of a century The Bühler Group from Switzerland has already been the biggest fan of our Celsimix for mixing a wide variety of difficult mixtures for more than 25 years. Bühler is a well-known system integrator that focusses primarily on mechanical and thermal process engineering. The company operates in over 140 countries and has more than 13 thousand employees. “The cooperation is very good and we want to build on this in the future”, says Herr Stöckel Purchasing Manager for the company’s Leingarten site. ‘The design we were looking for’ Bühler came into contact with Van Beek when the company was looking for a way to mix nuts with a ‘binder’, for the production for example of nut bars or filled chocolate bars on behalf of a customer. “It did not feel so much for us like choosing a supplier, as cooperation. The engineers at Van Beek helped us think things through from the start and the result is the optimum technical solution and the design we were looking for”, explains Stöckel. Installation

Brabender Technologie introduces Congrav® OPC UA interface Industrie 4.0 for gravimetric dosing
Brabender Technologie introduces Congrav® OPC UA interface
Industrie 4.0 for gravimetric dosing In addition to ProfiBus, ProfiNet, EtherNet/IP and EtherNet ModBus TCP Brabender Technologie now also offers OPC UA as PLC interface for gravimetric dosing. The EtherNet technology-based OPC UA protocol is platform- and vendor-independent and is currently seen as the ideal communication protocol for the implementation of Industry 4.0 . OPC UA enables integrated communication from individual dosing controls to the ERP system or to the cloud. For the Congrav® dosing controllers Brabender Technologie has developed a new OPC UA board. The Congrav® dosing controller must be ordered in advance as an OPC UA version. The OPC UA board cannot be retrofitted in existing Congrav® dosing controllers.

Poeth powder cooling Screw heat exchanger, Cooling hopper
Poeth powder cooling
Screw heat exchanger, Cooling hopper Poeth is currently realizing a project for the chemical industry, which includes 2 cooling mixers. The cooling mixers have a dual function: - (continuous) mixing of a 2 raw materials into a homogeneous mixture - cooling the mixture back to 50 gr. C Both the axles and the body are cooled for cooling. Because the shafts are equipped with overlapping paddles, a homogeneous cooling of the product is created in addition to a homogeneous mixture. Because the inlet temperature of 1 of the raw materials exceeds 180 gr. C, the product touching parts are made of a heat-resistant stainless steel 310 version. The whole is in an acidic environment, hence the machines are externally provided with a 6-layer C5I coating, making it extra resistant to corrosion of the RVS310 and RVS316L parts. A calculation model is available to calculate the cooling capacity. Furthermore, a lab-scale analysis system is available to determine the specific heat of the product. Often this information

New ATEX certification for Pegasus® Mixers
New ATEX certification for Pegasus® Mixers
Dinnissen has received a new ATEX certification for their batch mixers, continuous mixers and vacuum coaters. Thanks to these ATEX zone 20 (internal) type approvals, Dinnissen`s Pegasus® mixers comply with the latest European regulations and the strict requirements of the market. What are ATEX certifications? Companies that work in environments with gas and/or dust explosion hazards must work in accordance with protocols and requirements that guarantee the safety and health of employees. The European ATEX guidelines, acronym for atmosphere and explosible (French), have been drawn up for this purpose, and legally require manufacturers to indicate where explosive substances are present by means of ATEX zones. These zones must be included in an explosion protection document. The ATEX guidelines describe the standards with which equipment and products must comply in environments with explosion risks. ATEX zone 20 type approval for batch, continuous and vacuum mixers The

Machinery / equipment construction Heating elements for maintaining temperatures or evaporating liquid or gaseous media
Machinery / equipment construction
Heating elements for maintaining temperatures or evaporating liquid or gaseous media In the highly innovative machinery and equipment construction area, our heating elements and equipment find mainly application in the tasks of heating, maintaining temperatures or evaporating liquid or gaseous media. The installation of our equipment can take place both in non-hazardous and hazardous areas of zones 1 and 2. In order to optimize the flow characteristics of different fluids, it is necessary to influence the viscosity of the liquid in such a way that a sufficiently good flow rate is obtained. For this purpose Schniewindt produces threaded immersion and cartridge type heaters as well as circulation heaters used to adjust hydraulic oil to the required viscosity.
